Started with the fundamentals
Computer engineering coursework gave me programming, databases and networking basics. That was the floor, not the finish line.
WHO IS BEHIND THIS
ABOUT ME
A short, honest version. No buzzwords, no invented experience.
I am Afif, a computer engineering student working towards becoming a Cloud & DevOps Engineer in Training.
What pulled me in was the infrastructure side of software: the machine it runs on, how it gets deployed, and what happens when it breaks at two in the morning. I would rather understand the server than style the button.
I do build web and database projects, but they are supporting work, not a second direction. An application is what gives infrastructure something to carry — something to containerise, deploy through a pipeline, and put on real cloud infrastructure. This site is one of those supporting projects, and it will eventually become the deployment target for my CI/CD work.
I learn by building. Instead of collecting tutorials, I set myself a project, get it running, and write down what went wrong along the way. This site is where that record lives — the roadmap is public precisely so I have to keep it accurate.
I am at the early stage and I say so openly. What I can offer right now is consistency, curiosity, and work you can actually go and inspect.

LEARNING JOURNEY
Found the direction: cloud and DevOps
I enjoyed the part where software actually has to run somewhere. Servers, automation and infrastructure clicked with me more than front-end work did.
Learning Linux properly
Right now I am spending my time in the terminal — permissions, services, logs, SSH — because everything above it stands on this.
Next: containers, pipelines, cloud
Docker, then CI/CD with GitHub Actions, then AWS with Terraform. Each step becomes a project on the roadmap, documented publicly.
Beyond cloud and DevOps I am also interested in AI and machine learning, data engineering, big data, cybersecurity and embedded systems — the coursework touches all of them.
